Directions
There are many ways to get to Philcon:
BY CAR
Driving is the easiest way to get to Philcon. The hotel offers free parking!
From the North
- Take the New Jersey Turnpike South to exit 7A.
- At exit 7A, get onto I-195 West.
- Take I-195 about 7 miles to exit 2, I-295 South.
- Take I-295 South about 25 miles to exit 34B, Rt 70 West.
- Take Rte 70 West about 4.3 miles to Cuthbert Rd.
- Use the overpass clover leaf ramps (S. Cuthbert Road and then Rte. 70 East) to make a U-turn onto Rte 70 East.
- Enter the Doubletree Hotel parking.
From the South
- Take I-95 North.
- In Delaware, take the I-295 exit toward New Jersey and the Delaware Memorial Bridge.
- Take I-295 North about 34 miles to exit 34B, Rte 70 West.
- Take Rte 70 West about 4.3 miles to Cuthbert Rd.
- Use the overpass clover leaf ramps to make a U-turn onto Rte 70 East.
- Enter the Doubletree Hotel parking.
From the West
- Take the Pennsylvania Turnpike, I-76 East.
- Take exit 326 to continue on I-76 to Philadelphia.
- After about 18 miles, use the left-of-center lane to exit onto I-676 East, the Vine St Expy.
- After about 1.6 miles, exit and follow the signs for the Ben Franklin Bridge.
- Follow the “From Philadelphia” instructions.
From Philadelphia
- Cross the Ben Franklin Bridge.
- Follow the signs for US-30 East.
- After about 3 miles, approaching US-130, stay to the left and follow the signs for Rte 38-70 East. Take the overpass.
- After taking the overpass onto Rte 38-70 East, stay to the right to Rte 70 East. You will have about 1/4 mile to merge far enough to the right.
- After about 1.2 miles, pass under the Cuthbert Rd. overpass.
- Enter the Doubletree Hotel.
BY PUBLIC TRANSIT
Bus (New Jersey Transit)
If you can’t drive to Philcon, it’s still easy to get to. There are several options for public transit.
The NJ Transit 406 bus goes from Philadelphia directly to the hotel. There are bus stops on Market St, Race St, and Vine St. between 6th St. and Broad St. See the schedule for a map. Tell the driver you want to get off at the Doubletree Hotel. The cross street is Cuthbert Blvd. The travel time is about 55 minutes. If you are coming to Philadelphia by bus, the Greyhound Station is at 10th & Filbert Streets. When you arrive, proceed via the NJT 406 bus as described above.
Regional Rail (New Jersey Transit)
The NJ Transit Atlantic City Line departs from 30th Street Station in Philadelphia every 80 minutes. (Buy tickets at the SEPTA windows.) The trip takes approximately 25 minutes. Exit the train at the first stop (Cherry Hill). The station is about one-half mile east of the Doubletree Hotel, which is visible from the train station (if the leaves have fallen). Taxis may be queued near the station. If not, phone numbers are posted.
If you choose to walk, Google Maps estimates the distance as 0.8 miles. Please be careful as part of the walk is beside a major highway.
Regional Rail (PATCO)
Patco trains depart from the underground concourse in Center City. Get off at the Collingswood station. Taxis are usually available at this station. If not, call the Doubletree Concierge at 1-856-665-6666 and ask for the Concierge Desk. The Concierge will call a taxi for you.
If you choose to walk, Google Maps estimates the distance as 1.5 miles. Please be careful as part of the walk is beside a major highway.

From New York and Northern New Jersey
Take the NJ Transit Northeast Corridor train to the Trenton Transit Center (NJ Transit, SEPTA, Wikipedia). A PDF schedule for the NJ Transit Northeast Corridor Line is available at: http://www.njtransit.com/pdf/rail/r0070.pdf
- Option one: Continue by light rail and bus. Exit the station and turn left. Go to the corner, cross the street and board the River Line light rail next to the parking lot. Take the River Line to the Walter Rand Transportation Center in Camden. Transfer to the 406 NJ Transit bus, which stops in front of the Crowne Plaze Hotel in Cherry Hill.
- Option two: Continue by rail. Remain on the Northeast Corridor train until Philadelphia 30th Street Station, then follow the “Regional Rail (New Jersey Transit)” directions above.
Amtrak
Amtrak arrives at Philadelphia 30th Street Station. From this point there are three ways to reach Philcon:
- SEPTA train/NJT 406 bus – Take the ramp at the 30th Street end of the floor to the local trains on the upper level. Use your Amtrak ticket on a local SEPTA train to the Philadelphia Market East Station. Then catch the NJT 406 bus as described above.
- Uber – Rate is approximately $45
- Lyft – Rate is approximately $37

SEPTA Regional Rail Airport Line (formerly the R1 Line)
The Airport line goes from the Airport to Center City Philadelphia. You can get off at 30th Street Station and follow the directions from there in “Regional Rail (New Jersey Transit)” above, or get off at the Market East Station where you can either transfer to the Patco line (see “Regional Rail (PATCO)” above) or go up to the street level and catch the 406 Bus directly to Philcon (see “By Bus”).
